Inspiration for "Reparations Now" and "40 Acres and A Bentley" tee shirts
This is the body that God put my soul in!! Therefore, God wanted me to experience this particular type of mental slavery. God wanted me to see how dark it could be, so when I escaped the mental chains I was bound by I would know how to get others just like me out . . .
My reason for the “Reparations Now” and the “40 Acres and A Bentley” tee shirts are to inspire the descendants of slaves to aim higher while never forgetting this country only offers hand outs at a price. The price is your mental freedom. The free labor our ancestors gave to build this country is only put in the history books to remind us of what they want our place to be! The generational wealth that people are still benefiting from today that we never benefited from is only salt in the wound. And of course never receiving the 40 acres and a mule we were promised was a part of their bigger scheme of systemic racism. An attempt to keep us mentally oppressed and complacent. Some played right into the notion of “victims” and feelings of worthlessness. How could you not? We were a commodity, traded and sold at top dollar, yet we had nothing to show for it! Even after years and years of hard work, still not a dollar! So we had no choice but to work for low wages once slavery was abolished. Blood sweat and tears shed. For what? So we could pass down the belief of inferiority, fear of being great, and thoughts of being worthless to our offspring? Fear of being great because when we tried to have something to be proud of we were threatened, beat, killed, houses burned to the ground! Denied housing, denied employment; denied equal pay! But that never stopped some of us. They put us on their strong backs and made a way for the rest. And look at us now! We have come a long way as a people, yet we have so much damage control to do to our subconscious minds. So, while now we know we are worthy of all the gifts the universe has to offer, and we definitely won’t be turning down any of them! So yes we will take those reparations owed to us!! We also know that we have to take back the power and get everything we were sent here to receive, prosperity and abundance is ours ✊🏽 it is our birth right as children of God!!
